LOOI is a magnetic dock that turns a spare iPhone into a desktop robot: the phone screen becomes a pair of animated eyes and the dock supplies the body and charging. It runs an on-device large language model for conversation, adds vision for face, object and gesture recognition, and reacts through a behaviour library of more than 1,200 actions triggered by over 233 conditions, which is what makes it feel like a pet rather than a voice assistant. A 6,000 mAh battery gives roughly five hours of use, and it works with any MagSafe-equipped iPhone 12 or newer. The product ran a US Kickstarter that raised USD 510,000.
